Post #1: What is Your Niche?

I consider my medium to be UX/UI design, mobile app, and website design. My style is minimalistic and clean. As for my service of choice, I definitely go towards humanitarian work and projects that make a difference in the lives of people who are less abled.  I have always had a passion for doing research and understanding why certain things are the way are. Having gone through my Design Research and Interactive classes I have become much more interested in that as well but more in the sense of wanting things to be designed better. 

I admire many companies that are making an impact in the world, below are some of my favorites.

A platform that addresses controversial and relevant topics within Islam by experts on the topics. I would like to work with them due to their motivation to break stereotypes and controversy that tend to be seen in relation to Islam. 

Islamic Relief: http://irusa.org/

A donation based relief platform for those who are in need of aid and support. From local emergencies to troubles in third world countries.

UNICEF: https://www.unicef.org/

Works towards saving the lives of children and making sure they have their rights and can reach their utmost potential.

The biggest frustration with my service choice is that a lot of clients don’t have the money or they don’t want to pay. Although I do enjoy doing this kind of work from my heart, I still do prefer making a living so that is the biggest issue. 

As of right now, I’m really unsure of what the future will bring. I’m scared but excited since this is an ever growing field and opportunities can come at any time.
